Found in Ecuador in wet montane forests at elevations around 1800 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with rosulate, basal, lanceolate, crenate-denticulate margins, dark green, conduplicate below into the petioalte base leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a terminal, erect, glabrous, 16" [40 cm] long, loosely many flowered inflorescence.
