Found in Cochabamba department of Bolivia in wet montane forests at elevations around 1800 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with 3 or so, basal, rosulate, lanceolate, crenate-denticulate margins, dark green, conduplicate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a terminal, erect, glabrous, peduncle 10.6" [26.5 cm] long, provided with 5 scattered, glabrous sheathing bracts, rachis 11.4" [13.5 cm] long, loosely many flowered inflorescence wioth narrowely lanceolate, longewr tha n the ovary floral bracts and carrying glabrous, green flowers with a purplish tint.
