Common Name Luis' Cycnoches [In honor of Luisia Guadagnini, Venezuelan collector of the type]

Found in Bolivar state of Venezuela without elevationsal data as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close set, cylindrical, to cylinrical-fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped by sheaths and carrying towards the apex, 3, plicate, broadly elliptic-lanceolate, attenuate, at both ends, acuminate apically leaves that blooms on a towards the apex of the stem, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence carrying entirely yellow flowers including the callus of the labellum which is dark green in C chlorochion which also has larger flowers and a proportionally shorter claw to the lip.
