Common Name The Spotted Cycnoches
Flower Size 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm]
Found in Colombia and Venezuela at elevations around 1300 to 1400 meters as a large sized, cool growing epiphyte with fasciculate, cylindrical to fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped completely by leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying plicate, articulate to the leaf sheath, oblong-lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms on a male raceme, pendant, from the apical half, few to many flowered, 4 to 24" [10 to 60 cm] long inflorescence and on a female raceme, a pendant, 1 to 3 flowered, shorter than the male inflorescence and both carrying fragrant flowers.
