Found in southeastern & southern Brazil as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with basal, oblong to suborbicular, acuminate, narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 12" [30 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with inflated, lanceolate, acute bracts and longer than the ovary floral bracts..
