Common Name The Broad Fingered Cycnoches

Found in Nicaragua and Panama in wet lowland forests at elevations around 180 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with cylindrical, elongate pseudobulbs carrying elliptic, acute, 3 nerved, articulate below into the sheath leaves that blooms in the summer on an arcuate, pendent, to 32" [80 cm] long, to 35 flowered [male] inflorescence.
Part of the C egertonianum complex and often cited as a synonym of but differs in the form of the 8 lip processes that are short, broad and heavily clavate as well as the basal ligule of the triangularmidlobe of the lip is very short, broad and faintly three lobed apically.
