Part shade Summer

Common Name Powell's Cycnoches [Original Collector of Species 1900's]

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm] long

Found in Panama as an epiphyte with a pendulous, laxly several flowered, 8" [20 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with recurved, oblong, obtuse floral bracts that blooms in the summer on a pendent, loose, many flowered inflorescence.

For years considered a synonym of C dianae but C powellii differs in the looser inflorescence and the narrower petals which gives it an open star shaped appearance not displayed by C dianae.
