Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama in rain forests at elevations around 1400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with short, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying 3 fully developed and a single basal, elliptic, consicuously nerved, petiloalte base leaves that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on a pendent, 8 to 16" [20 to 40 cm] long, 6 to 15 flowered inflorescence carrying greenish flowers with a white disc of the lip.
The Photo has both female [to the right and lefyt forefront and male flowers in the center.
The Drawing is the Type record and so is absolutely correct.
