Found in Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo states of Brazil as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 4 to 6, basal, in a rosette, thinly membraneous, 7 delicately nerved, green above, white spottedf beneath, ovate, acute, somewhat rounded below intot he short, pesudopetiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, to 16" [40 cm] long overall, peduncle with 7 to 8 adpressed, triangular-lanceolate, acute bracts, rachis short to 2 to 2.4" [5 to 6 cm] long, 15 to 20 flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, acuminate, single nerved floral bracts and carrying small, erect-patent flowers.
