Common Name The Chang Ning Cymbidium - In China Chang Ning Lan
Flower Size 4 to 4.4" [10 to 11 cm]
Found in western Yunnan province of China on trees at forest margins and on shaded rocks at elevations around 1700 meters as a large sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte that is a natural hybrid between C. lowianum × C. mastersii with narrowly ovoid, bilaterally flattened, with 10 to 13, distichous, lorate, articulate, obliquely bilobed leaves that blooms in the later winter and early spring on an axillary, arching, 14 to 16.4" [35 to 41 cm] long, 3 to 7 flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts and carrying fragrant flowers
