Common Name The Thick Leaved Cymbidium In China - Shao Ye Ying Ye Lan

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in southern Yunnan on trees at elevations of 100 to 1600 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with narrowly ovoid, slightly bilaterally flattened pseudobulbs enveloped by leaf sheaths and carrying 2 to 4, deep green, lorate, rigid, thickly leathery, articulate near the base, serrulate, obtuse and unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on a basal, arching to pendulous, 10 to 16" [25 to 40 cm] long, 6 to 11 flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts and carrying slightly fragrant flowers
