Common Name Hartinah's Cymbidium [Wife of Suharto, Indonesian President 1900's]

Flower Size 1.4" [3.5 cm]

Found in northern Sumatra in grasslands mixed with ferns at elevations of 1680 to 2600 meters as a small to large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with conspicuous when older, ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped completely by 6 to 10 leaf-bearing sheaths carrying linear, acute, v-shaped in cross-section, variable length leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, much longer than the leaves, 20 to 40" [50 to 100 cm] long, 6 to 9, spread out sheathed, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence and carrying well spaced flowers without a scent.
