Flower Size 2.4 to 2.8" [6 to 7 cm]

Found in north central Sichuan province of China on trees in forests or on rocks at forest margins at elevations of 1200 to 1600 meters as a large sized, cool growing epiphtye or lithophyte with subellipsoid pseudobulbs enveloped by leaf sheaths and carrying 5 to 8, lorate, leathery, articulate, 4 to 6" [10 to 15 cm] from the base, subacuminate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a basal, suberect, 20 to 28" [50 to 70 cm] long, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence with 7 to 9 bracts at the base and lanceolate floral bracts and carrying slightly scented flowers.
