Common Name The Squat Cynorkis

Found in Natal, South Africa as a small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial in rocky areas under 700 meters in elevation with ovoid or elongated tubers carrying a single, ovate-oblong, acute, erect or horizontal leaves which blooms in the spring and summer as the new leaves are arising on a solitary, to 8" [20 cm] long, elliptic, basally sheathed, 4 to 10 flowered inflorescence.
