Found in southcentral Madagascar in mossy forests on wet rocks and in marshlands at elevations of 1500 to 2000 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a single, lanceolate, acuminate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, glandular, 2 to 2.4" [5 to 6 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence.
