Found in southeastern Madagascar in lowland forests at elevations of sealevel to 200 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with 2 to 3, narrowly oblong-lanceolate to oblanceolate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, terminal, robust, rachis .8 to 5.2" [2 to 13 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence
