Common Name or Meaning Dr Jumell's Cynorchis [French Botanist in Madagascar early 1900's]

Flower Size .4 to .48" [1 to 1.2 cm]

Found in southcentral Madagascar in ericaceous scrub at elevations around 2000 to 2500 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, ligulate to narrowly oblong-ligulate, gradually attenuate into the base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 4" [10 cm] long, very densely 10 to 30 flowered inflorescence
