Found in central Madagascar in highland evergreen forests in moss at elevations around 600 to 1400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 1 or 2, widely lanceolate-acute, basally retracted leaves that blooms in the spring through early summer on an erect, loose, several to many flowered inflorescence and carrying color variable flowers.
