Common Name The Thin Petaled Cynorkis

Flower Size 2 to 2 3/4" [5 to 7 cm]

Found in Madagascar in open humid woods, grasslands, forest and woodland margins and in marshlands in peaty soils at elevations 500 to 2000 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial and occasional epiphytic orchid with 2 elongate tubers carrying 1 to 2 radical, lingulate or lanceolate-linear leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a glabrous, loosely several to many flowered inflorescence with 1 to 3 sheaths and carrying variable color, shape and sized flowers.
