Common Name or Meaning The Orchis-Like Cynorkis

Found in western and north central Madagascar in rocky woods and outcrops as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte or terrestrial with 2, elongated, narrow, very villous tubers giving rise to an erect stem carrying a solitary, narrowly lanceolate, basally clasping leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, to 12" [30 cm] long, subdense, 20 to 25 flowered inflorescence.
