Common Name or Meaning The Five Part Cynorkis

Found in northern Madagascar in montane mossy forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with no tubers and a single, radical, narrowly lanceolate, very acute, very longly attenuate into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, erect, 1.6 to 6" [4 to 15 cm] long, glabrous, less dense, several flowered inflorescence very narrow, very acute, equal to the ovary floral bracts.
