Common Name or Meaning The S-Shaped Cynorkis

Found in the Comoros Islands at elevations of 1100 to 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an oblong tuber giving rise to an erect stem carrying 2, radical, widely ovate to oblong, attenuate, very acute to shortly acuminate-acute apically, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the earlier fall on a terminal, erect, 3.2 to 5.6" [8 to 14 cm] long, narrow, loose, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate-acute much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
