Common Name The Thin Spur Cynorkis

Flower Size .72 to .8" [1.8 to 2 cm] long

Found in northeastern and southeastern Madagascar in lichen rich and mossy forests at eleavtions of 1000 to 2150 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terresrial or epiphyte [subsp onivensis] with a solitary, oblanceolate leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, [13 to 23 cm] long overall, rachis 2" [5 cm] long, 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence carrying glabrous flowers with shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
