Common Name The Shaggy Cynorkis [refers to the hairy inflorescence and flowers]
Flower Size
Found in southwestern Madagascar in ravines and in humid low to mid-elevation forests at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with 3 to 5, radical, flat, elliptic-oblong or elliptic-lanceolate, deciduous leaves that blooms in the mid summer to early fall on an, erect, hispidous-glandular, 8 to 10" [20 to 25 cm] long, few to 36 flowered inflorescence.
