Common Name Small White Lady's Slipper

Flower Size 3 1/2" [8.75 cm]

From Ontario west to the Dakotas and Nebraska and then south to Missouri and Kentucky in boggy meadows, this American terrestrial, cold growing orchid blooms in the spring on a short, terminal, solitary to rarely 2 flowered inflorescence that is subtended by a leaflike floral bract and carries slightly fragrant flowers.
