Common Name Dickinson's Cypripedium [American Orchid Enthusiast and Collector in Mexico current]

Flower Size 1 to 1.2" [2.5 to 3 cm]

Found in southern Chiapas state of Mexico and Guatemala in coniferous forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with pilose, elongate stems carrying plicate, elliptic-lanceolate, obtuse to acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on a terminal, successively single to six flowered inflorecence with foliaceous floral bracts.
