Common Name or Meaning The Sichuan Cypripedium [A Province of China] - In China Si Chuan Shao Lan

Flower Size 1 1/2 to 1 3/4" [3.8 to 4.5 cm]

Found in Sichuan province of China in bamboo and deciduous thickets in humus rich soils at elevations around 2380 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial needing humid cold summers with an erect, glabrous stem enveloped by a single sheath and carrying broadly elliptic to suborbicular, plicate, light green, red spotted, obtuse leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 2" [5 cm] long, short, single flowered inflorescence with no floral bract.
