Found in southern Shaanxi province of China on grassy slopes at elevations of 2600 to 3300 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect, glabrous stem carrying 2 to 3 basal sheaths and 3 to 4, elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate, abaxially minutely pubescent, adaxially glabrous, ciliate, acuminate to subacute apically leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, minutely pubescent, single flowered, shorter inflorescence with narrowly elliptic to ovate-lanceolate, minutely pubescent floral bracts.
