Common Name or Meaning Letouzey's Cyrtorchis

Flower Size

Found in the Central African Republic, Cameroon and Gabon in forest-savannah tranisiton as well as in dense humid forests at elevations of 220 to 750 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte that blooms in the late spring and summer and carries fragrant flowers.

Can be most readily distinguished from Cyrtorchis chailluana from which it is often said to be synomonous by it's inflorescence that arises from the stem and not from between the leaves. Certainly there are other differences but this is conclusive.
