Common Name The Rolled Cyrtochilum [Refers to the curled sepals, petals and lip]

Flower Size 1.4 to 1.6" [3.5 to 4 cm]

Found in Loja Ecuador and Peru in wet montane forests around 2300 to 2500 meters as a large sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with ovoid-ellipsoid, laterally compressed, longitudinally grooved and ridged with age pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several imbricating, lower leafless, upper leaf-bearing and carrying 2, apical, narrow, lanceolate, acute, slightly narrowing below into a conduplicate, elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a basal, to 91" [to 230 cm] long, erect then arching, paniculate, many flowered inflorescence with many fractiflex, 8" [20 cm] long, 4 to 6 flowered branches and carry showy, flat, spreading flowers.
