Common Name Gerard's Cyrtidiorchis [Colombian Collector of species current]

Found in Colombia at elevations of 1800 to 2700 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a brown, ascending rhizome giving rise to, 1 to 1.2" [2.5 to 3 cm], between each globose pseudodbulb enveloped by verrucose, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 1 to 2, apical, oblong-elliptic, obtuse leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal or from the rhizome, short, single flowered inflorescence
