Found in the Choco Colombia at elevations around 800 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphytic plant with as ascending, robust rhizome giving rise to distant, 6 to 7, in a fan, conduplicate, narrowly lanceolate, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, peduncle to 16" [40 cm] long, many branched, each branch 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, each 2 to 5 flowered, rachis to 5' 4" [160 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
