Found in Quindio' Colombia on road banks and large rocks at elevations of 2500 to 2800 meters as a large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial or lithophyte and blooms in the spring on an erect, axillary, paniculate, many flowered inflorescence
Most likely this species is C murinum which is very variable in flower form
