Common Name The Small Flowered Cyrtopodium

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Venezuela, French Guiana, Surinam, Bolivia and Bahia, Brasilia, Goias, Mato Grasso and Minas Gerais states of Brazil in rocky fields at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with conical to 6" [15 cm] tall pseudobulbs enveloped by foliaceous, deciduous sheaths and carrying grass-like, deciduous leaves that blooms in the spring on a mature leafless pseudobulb with an erect, basal, stout, 15 1/5" [38 cm] long, racemose to paniculate, several flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb.
