Found in Goias and Sao Paulo states of Brazil as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with clustered, cylindric-fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 5, plicate, 5 nerved, linear-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, racemose, to 8" [20 cm] long, 10 to 25 flowered inflorescence enveloped by adpressed sheaths below and erect-patent, elliptic, acuminate, shorter than the pedicel and ovary floral bracts.
