Found in Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast as an epiphyte in high rainforests on upper branches as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte that blooms in the fall
Similar to C brownii but C guillaumetii has a subimbricated bract that is shorter than the pedicel and ovary, an anther cap that noticeably extends forward and covers the base of the rostellum.
