Found in southern Thailand in tropical evergreen forests often on rotting logs alongside streams in dark gullies at elevations of 800 to 1200 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with fleshy yellow roots and an erect, pinkish orange, branching or not stem with glabrous to pubescent, obtuse to acute, coriaceous sheaths that blooms in the spring on a terminal, racemose, densely short-hairy, few to many flowered inflorescence
