Found in Putomayo Colombia at elevations around 2400 meters as a medium to large sized cold growing epiphyte with an ascending rhizome with 4.8" [12 cm] between each, oblong-ovate, apically narrowing pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 6, foliaceous sheaths and carrying 2 to 3, apical, conduplicate, oblong, narrowing basally, apically acute leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on 2, axillary, 11' [3.3 meter] long, branched, lateral branches fractiflex, many flowered inflorescence carrying medium sized flowers.
