Found in Huancavelica department of Peru in cold wet cloud forests at elevations of 2900 meters as a small sized, cold growing subcaespitose epiphyte with narrowly ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear, acute apically, conduplicate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an axillary, erect, 2.4 to 4" [6 to 10 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence. color=purple>Synonyms Buesiella suarezii D.E.Benn. & Christenson 2001; *Rusbyella suarezii D.E.Benn. & Christenson 2001
