Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil as a natural hybrid between C. gigas × C. glutiniferum as a giant sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with numerous, clustered, elongate, fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped in youth by leafless and leafbearing sheaths and carrying 8 to 10, lanceolate, acute, plicate, 3 nerved leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, paniculate, to 48" [to 120 cm] long , many flowered inflorescence
