Found in the Philippines on the island of Luzon in shaded, damp forests at elevations of 800 to 1600 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a slender, erect to ascending stem carrying 4 to 10, ovate-lanceolate, purplish, papery, abruptly acute, rounded basally into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 6" [15 cm] long, white hairy, to 6 flowered inflorescence
