Found in western Sumatra at elevations of 1800 to 2000 meters as a cool to cold growing terrestrial with a creeping basally stems carrying to 5, ovate, apiculate, acute, laxly veined transversely, silky green above, violet beneath, .6" [1.5 cm] long petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terete, pubescent, peduncle to 10" [25 cm] long, rachis to 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, to 11.4" [28.5 cm] long overall, to 15 flowered inflorescence.
