Found on Waigeo Island Indonesia in stunted, mossy forests at elevations around 800 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with tufted, erect, slender, not branching, straight, sightly flexuous towards the apex stems carrying several, patent, deciduous, narrowly ovate-lanceolate, apical margins finely papillose, acute-acuminate, mucronate, narrowing below into the tubular, rather densely minutely papillose base leaves that blooms in the late spring on a lateral, from the upper half of leafless stems, very short, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence enveloped by 3 membraneous, imbricating tubular sheaths with cupular, ovate, membraneous, sparsely papillose floral bracts carrying sky blue, glabrous, patent, campanulate flowers.
