Found in the Moluccas on Ambon and Seram Islands at elevations of sea level to 200 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with long, straight stems carrying widely spaced, decidous leaves taht blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on short, single flowered inflorescence arising from the apex and along the leafless stem and carry yellow to dull orange flowers with red streaks or veins on the lip.
