Found in the Philippines at elevations of 500 to 2000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with upright to semi-pendulous, branching stems giving rise to rugose, puffed shiny, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, leathery, lanceolate, obtuse to subacute leaf that blooms in the summer on several from the same node, short, successively single flowered inflorescence.
Similar to F angustifolium but differs in the lobe of the lip and in the crest at the base of the middle lobe." Ames 1915
