Found in southern Sumatra at higher elevations as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with close set, ovoid, apically narrowing, shiny brown pseudobulbs carrying lanceolate, basally contracted into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a lax, many [9 to 25] flowered, racemose, 10" [to 25 cm] long, fractiflex inflorescence arising on an immature pseudobulb with flowers that are the largest in the genus.
