Found in Sarawak and Kalimantan Borneo in hill forests and ridge forests at elevations around 900 to 1600 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with crowded to 1" [2.5 cm between each, clump-forming, narrowly cylindrical, very slender, finely shallowly longitudinally furrowed, minutely wrinkled with age pseudobulbs carrying a single, coriaceous, 7 nerved, narrowly elliptic,, elliptic to oblanceolate, , acute, sometimes constricted below the apex, cuneate below into the sulcate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, , peduncle stout, wiry, 3.4 to 5.6" [8.5 to 14 cm] long, provided with solitary, oblong-ovate, obtuse to subacute bracts, rachis quadrangular, 4.4 to 10" [11 to 25 cm] long, lax tosubdensely many flowered inflorescence with ovate, obtuse to subacutelonger than the ovary floral bracts and carrying unscented, slightly scented to anise scented, mostly simultaneosuly open, pale greenish, greenish orange to cream colored flowers with a pale ochre lip.
