Found in Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in lower mointane moss forests at elevations of 1400 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool, erect to pendulous growing epiphyte with a branching rhizome giving rise to crowded, narrowly ovoid, fusiform to ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptic to elliptic, obtuse to acute, margin often gently undulate, thin textured, 7 to 9 main nerved, often flushed red, sulcate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring, summer and earlier fall on a suberect then pendulous, peduncle filiform, provided with 1 to 6, ovate, acute bracts, .8 to 4.6" [2 to 11.5 cm] long, rachis quadrangular, 3.2 to 8" [8 to 20 cm] long, pinkish, laxly 16 to many flowered inflorescence with ovate to ovate-elliptic, acute to minutely apiculate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers with yellowish cream to transparent cream tepals often suffused with pale salmon pink down the middle and at the base, a cream colored lip with a brownish pink center or midline , the base and keels pale salmon pink and the the column also pale salmon pink.
