Found in Sarawak Borneo in ridge top upper monatane forests at elevations around 2250 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte with fusiform, smooth pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, rigid, coriaceous, 5 nerved, pale green, oblong-elliptic, obtuse and shortly mucronate, slightly constricted below the apex, thin textured, 7 to 9 main nerved, often flushed red, sulcate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the earlier fall on an erect, slightly curving, peduncle filiform, provided with 1 to 6, ovate, acute bracts, .8 to 4.6" [2 to 11.5 cm] long, rachis quadrangular, 3.2 to 8" [8 to 20 cm] long, pinkish, laxly 16 to many flowered inflorescence with ovate to ovate-elliptic, acute to minutely apiculate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers with yellowish cream to transparent cream tepals often suffused with pale salmon pink down the middle and at the base, a cream colored lip with a brownish pink center or midline , the base and keels pale salmon pink and the the column also pale salmon pink.
