Found in Sabah Borneo in lower montane ridge top forests at elevations around 1400 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovoid-elliptic, olive green, close set pseudobnulbs carrying a single, apical, ligulate, obtuse, slender below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an arching to pendulous, peduncle 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, rachis .8 to 1.72" [2 to 3.8 cm] long, quadrangular, thicker than the peduncle, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with a 2 to 3 apical, sterile bracts and ovate to ovate-ellipitc, apiculate, involute, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying wide opening, salmon pink to buff to cream flowers wqith an orange to pale ocher center to the tepals and a pale orange to ocher center to the lip.
