Found in Sarawak Borneo in sand forest and lower montane, mossy ridge forests at elevations around 1000 to 1750 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a branching rhizome giving rise to close set, ovoid, rugulose, sometime gently curving, chestnut brown pseudobulbs enveloped by 3 to 4, ovate-elliptic, acute cataphylls and carrying a single, apical, very narrowly linear to linear-oblanceolate, acute, thinly coriaceous, 1 main nerved, gradually narrowing below into the very narrow, sulcate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect to gently curving, peduncle filiform, 2 to 3.8" [3 to 8.5 cm] long, provided with a single, ovate, acute bract, rachis quadrangular, narrowly sulcate, .96 to 2" [2.4 to 5 cm] long, subdensely to densely many flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate, oblong-ovate to suborbicular, obtuse, margins erose-crenate, 1 to 2 nerved, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying either slightly sweet scented or not, pale yellowish green flowers with a chestnut colored or pale brown witha darker brown tipped column, a reddish brown lip with a red keel.
